Southtown Generals is a heavier genre of rock reggae mix which was started by Tim Pacheco, the lead singer frontman trumpet player. Pacheco and P.O.D.'s drummer Noah "Wuv" Bernardo are life long friends and would jam together on their down time. Pacheco is an exceptionally brilliant composer as well as a multitudinous musician. He is an articulate artist who does not necessarily conform to one genre of music. During his career he has traveled around the world performing in acts such as P.O.D., Natural Vibrations, Big Mountain, Wise Monkey Orchestra, and his own band Psydecar.
Kimba Light - 2:20pm-3:30pm
This three year old band is based out of San Diego, but brings its unique sound and diversity to restaurants, bars, clubs, private parties, and corporate events. Members include Yorly Quintero (piano and vocals) from Cienfuego, Cuba, Daniel Feldman (conga/percussion) and Rene Campos (trombone) from Havana, Cuba, and native Californians Michael Atesalp (drums) and Fernando Garcia (bass and vocals).
La Diabla is an infectious rhythm, five faces strategically concealed behind sunglasses and bandanas, and is credited with creating an appetite for Colombian Roots Cumbia in Tijuana and its sister city of San Diego. This band stays true to traditional instruments such as the accordion, guacaracha, and caja valleneta. La Diabla translates to "The She-Devil," and will seduce audiences with Cumbia Sabanera throughout Los Angeles and Southern California and beyond.
